Tetapi Yayasan Kanisius berkeberatan.<\/p>\n<p>1976 Dewan Paroki Weleri dan Romo Sunarko SY memohon kepada Romo R.Cang Peng Tu Pr\u00a0 Ketua Yayasan Bernardus untuk mendirikan SMA di Weleri. Pada waktu itu sebenarnya Yayasan Bernardus sudah mendapat tawaran untuk mendirikan SMA di Kudus. Dengan berbagai pertimbangan seperti :\u00a0 permintaan Umat Katolik Weleri; banyaknya anak lulusan SMP yang melanjutkan sekolah ke luar kota; dan belum adanya SMA Katolik antara kota Pekalongan-Semarang.<\/p>\n<p>Maka Romo Cang Peng Tu, Pr, mengabulkan permohonan tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk mewujudkan berdirinya SMA Katolik di Weleri prosesnya begitu cepat, segera dicari tanah untuk lokasi gedung SMA.\u00a0 Berkat bantuan Kepala Desa Penyangkringan Bp. Soebibit (alm), Bp. Tan Wijaya (alm) dan Bp. W.F.Ruben (alm) akhirnya dapat dibeli sebidang tanah yang terletak di perbukitan desa Penyangkringan kec. Weleri.\u00a0 Lokasi sekolah secara geografis strategis karena terletak di perbukitan, pemandangan indah, jauh dari polusi perkotaan dan tranportasi mudah dijangkau dari semua arah.<\/p>\n<p>Nopember 1976 segera dibangun gedung SMA karena 6 Januari 1977 akan dimulai dengan pelajaran.<\/p>\n<p>Desember 1976 mulai membuka pendaftaran siswa baru, bertempat di SMP Kanisius Budi Murni Weleri. Walaupun pembangunan gedung belum selesai, tetapi sudah ada beberapa ruang kelas dapat dipakai. Maka secara resmi SMA Theresiana Weleri pada tahun pelajaran 1977 berdiri dan menerima siswa baru sebanyak 72 siswa ( dua kelas ) dengan jumlah guru 6 orang dan 1 orang tukang kebun, sedangkan ruangan yang dibangun pada waktu itu ada\u00a0 6 ruang belajar, 1 ruang guru dan kantor.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Kepala Sekolah yang pernah memimpin SMA Theresiana Weleri :<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} --><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Tahun 1976 &#8211; 1979 : Fx.
